The questions you have been carrying in private because you were never sure they were allowed.

They are allowed. They were always allowed. Scripture is full of them. We are just returning to how raw it actually sounds.

The name

ByFotia means "by light." Not the light that erases the dark. The light that walks through it with you.

What we believe

We believe the hardest questions are the most faithful ones.

We believe doubt is not the opposite of faith. Silence is.

We believe your wrestling with God is not a problem to solve. It is a conversation to continue.

We are grounded in the wrestlers of scripture. Jacob demanding a blessing while his hip was out of socket. Job accusing God of injustice. The Psalmist screaming into the dark. Mary Magdalene confused at an empty tomb. Thomas demanding proof. These are our spiritual ancestors. Not because they had answers. Because they refused to pretend the questions did not matter.

And we are anchored in what they were wrestling with. The historic Christian faith. Jesus. Scripture. The story handed down across centuries that has held people in every season of human life. The questions are wide. The anchor is deep. Both are necessary.

ByFotia is the space where that refusal is welcome.

Who this is for

There is no minimum pain requirement to belong here. There is no maximum stability that disqualifies you.

If you are working through something hard, a loss, a doubt, a faith that does not look the way it used to, you belong here.

If you are stable and steady and just hungry for something deeper than the surface version of faith you have been handed, you belong here.

If you are not even sure what you believe and you are just here looking around, you belong here.

The questions are the same. The scripture is the same. The space is the same. We meet you where you actually are, not where someone told you you should be.

The daily rhythm

Every day on ByFotia follows a quiet rhythm.

A question that meets you where you are. A reading from scripture, anchored in real life. A small practice, a breath prayer, a sixty-second reflection, that puts the truth into your hands instead of leaving it in your head.

And a safety valve. Always. If anything you read here is hitting too hard, there is a way out at the bottom of every page. We mean it. The questions are big. Your wellbeing is bigger.

Why the year is shaped this way

ByFotia is built around a twelve-month spiritual arc. Each month has a theme. Each theme has a question worth living with.

You start the year asking what you are actually building on. You learn you are loved. You surrender what is holding you back. You experience transformation. You grow into who you are becoming. You discover what you are called to. You examine the freedoms you mistook for cages and the cages you mistook for freedoms. You find the courage to keep going. You build real community. You wrestle in October when the dark is allowed to be dark. You reckon honestly with what you have. You learn to wait with hope.

This is the shape of an ancient Christian path, purgation, illumination, union, handed down across centuries, walked at the speed of a real life. You can join in any month. You can repeat any year. The questions deepen the longer you stay with them.

The conversation does not end on the screen. It continues in the small things you carry forward into your week.

What we are not

We are not a church replacement. Local faith communities matter. Find one if you can. Stay if you can. Wrestle with people who know your name.

We are not vague spirituality. Jesus, scripture, and the historic Christian faith are the foundation. We just refuse to pretend the questions do not exist.

We are not performatively edgy. Every provocation serves spiritual formation. If a question is only here for the screenshot, it does not get published.

ByFotia is built by humans who are wrestling with the same questions you are. Not a corporate brand. Not a content factory. A small team that means it. The questions we ask you are questions we are asking ourselves. We are not pretending to have arrived. We are walking with you.
